México perdió 65 por ciento de sus manglares, de acuerdo con Greenpeace. Unicamente le quedan 770 mil 057 hectáreas. El Instituto Nacional de Ecología (INE) estima que se está perdiendo el ecosistema de manglar a una tasa promedio de 2.5 por ciento anual. Pero eso no importa al coordinador de los senadores priistas: bajó en un helicóptero en esa zona.
Ciudad de México, 3 de octubre (SinEmbargo).- El Senador del Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), Emilio Gamboa Patrón, sí viajó en el helicóptero que este fin de semana aterrizó de manera ilegal en el Área Natural Protegida (ANP) Arrecife Alacranes, frente a la costa de Yucatán, pero lo hizo como “pasajero”.

El equipo de comunicación del Coordinador del PRI en el Senado de la República explicó en un comunicado que Gamboa Patrón iba como pasajero en el helicóptero privado, con matrícula XA-EHP, por lo tanto él “no determinó dónde despegar y dónde aterrizar”.
Posteriormente, Emilio Gamboa calificó como un error que el helicóptero “nos haya bajado” en una zona protegida.
El legislador explicó que fue invitado por su “amigo Emilio Díaz Castellano para pasar el fin de semana en la Isla Alacranes abordamos un helicóptero que él rentó para trasladarnos a ese lugar, y cuando aterrizamos me subí al barco” del empresario.
Ayer comenzó a circular en redes un video en el que aparecen tres personas descendiendo de la aeronave que aterrizó en el Arrecife Alacranes, que forma parte de la Red Mundial de Reservas de la Biósfera del Programa sobre el Hombre y la Biósfera de la UNESCO, para después abordar un yate.
De acuerdo con pescadores y reporteros locales, los tres hombres eran el Senador Emilio Gamboa, el empresario Emilio Díaz Castellanos y el coordinador de Puertos y Marina Mercante de la Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transporte (SCT), Guillermo Ruiz de Teresa.
Tras ser difundida la grabación, la Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente (Profepa) informó que había iniciado una investigación para evaluar los posibles daños al lugar.

Por su parte, la Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil, dependiente de la SCT, también había comenzado una investigación, sin embargo, aclaró que “de confirmarse que se aterrizó indebidamente, procederá una sanción contra el piloto y a la empresa dueña de la aeronave”.
La dependencia también confirmó que Ruiz de Teresa viajó en el helicóptero, “pues se encontraba en una actividad personal, y nos comunicó que él fue invitado a hacer un recorrido y nunca se imaginó que el piloto iba a aterrizar en un sitio no autorizado”.
En tanto, Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, titular de la SCT, negó en su cuenta de Twitter que él también hubiera hecho el recorrido, como aseguraron algunas versiones.
Lo manglares son humedales costeros que ocupan un lugar privilegiado en los ecosistemas de México por la riqueza natural que encierran y los beneficios ambientales que nos brindan.
